Volumul VI al Tratatului de Chirurgie Plasticã, apãrut sub redactia d-lui Prof. Irinel Popescu şi coordonat de D-l Prof. Ioan Lascãr, cu cele 27 de capitole şi 398 pagini, reprezintã rodul experientei în domeniul Chirurgiei Plastice şi Microchirurgiei Reconstructive a celor 10 autori care au participat la elaborarea lui.
D-l Prof. Ioan Lascãr, initiatorul şi sufletul acestui Tratat, s-a impus ca o personalitate notabilã în teritoriul chirurgiei plastice şi estetice, întreaga sa activitate derulându-se în plan didactic, al cercetãrii ştiintifice şi al tehnicii operatorii, fãrã a eluda activitatea organizatoricã ce se referã la arsenalul de functii detinute în cadrul Universitãtii de Medicinã şi Farmacie “Carol Davila” şi al Colegiului Medicilor.
Aparitia acestui Tratat era necesarã în peisajul literar medical românesc având în vedere experienta acumulatã în acest domeniu pe parcursul a 50 de ani de la înfiintarea oficialã a acestei specialitãti în tara noastrã.
Tematica de specialitate este practic global abordatã de un grup de specialişti, dintre care majoritatea sunt nume binecunoscute în lumea medicalã şi academicã româneascã.
Tratatul apare ca o necesitate, constituind o importantã sursã de informare pentru medicii rezidenti şi specialişti în domeniul Chirurgiei Plastice dar vine şi în întâmpinarea specialiştilor din domeniile chirurgicale învecinate, cu preocupãri interdisciplinare.
Aparitia Tratatului este deasemeni necesarã având în vedere interesul actual pentru domeniile Chirurgiei Plastice prin prisma achizitiilor recente tehnologice, care practic au revolutionat unele procedee şi concepte.
Este de remarcat deasemeni faptul cã Tratatul evidentiazã tendintele actuale care au ca obiectiv standardizarea procedeelor chirurgicale şi a indicatiilor chirurgicale cu respectarea protocoalelor general acceptate.
Microchirurgia Reconstructivã, segmentul cel mai dinamic al progresului în specialitate, este abordatã cu rigoare în aceastã lucrare.
Interesul deosebit pentru domeniul Chirurgiei Estetice, parte definitorie a Chirurgiei Plastice este materializat de autori într-un capitol distinct, care oferã celor interesati introducerea în zona de mare responsabilitate, care are ca obiectiv ameliorarea imaginii corporale şi estomparea semnelor aparente ale îmbãtrânirii prin prisma procedeelor chirurgicale moderne şi progresului tehnologic.
Din cartea publicatã reiese cã activitatea operatorie dedicatã chirurgiei plastice şi microchirurgiei reconstructive reprezintã un adevãrat ghid pentru tinerii practicieni precum şi pentru toti cei care îmbrãtişeazã şi dezvoltã aceastã problematicã extrem de complexã.
Racordatã exigentelor promovate de Uniunea Europeanã, în volumul VI al Tratatului de Chrurgie Palsticã sunt dezvoltate metode şi tehici medicale de avangardã ridicând la nivel de artã aceastã dificilã disciplinã operatorie.
În esentã, cartea cu datele ei conceptuale interesante şi originale ce oferã un documentar ştiintific inedit şi complex, reprezintã un pionierat şi o premierã pentru Romania.
Lucrarea este bine documenttaã şi elaboratã într-un mod riguros ştiintific, cu elemente teoretice şi practice de actualitate, caracter didactic clar, concis şi pertinent.
Imagistica este foarte explicitã iar bibliografia mentionatã este de mare actualitate.
Aparitia acestui tratat este un eveniment editorial remarcabil şi reprezintã o importantã etapã în realizarea de cãtre specialiştii din domeniu a primului Tratat amplu de Chirurgie Plasticã desfãşurat în 5-6 volume, care sã ilustreze bogata experientã româneascã în domeniu.

The 6th volume of the Textbook of Plastic Surgery published under the editorship of Prof Irinel Popescu and coordinated by Prof Ioan Lascar, with 27 chapters and 398 pages, represents the experience outcome in the Plastic Surgery and the Reconstructive Microsurgery field of the ten authors who took part in its achievement.
Prof Ioan Lascar, the initiator and the heart of this Textbook, imposed himself as a notable personality in the plastic and theaesthetic surgery area, his entire activity being developed in the teaching plan, the scientific research and the operatory technique, without omitting the organisatory activity concerning the multiple functions held within the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” and the College of the Physicians.
The publication of this Textbook was needed in the romanian medical literary landscape considering the experience gathered in this field along the 50 years since the official foundation of this specialty in our country.
The specialty topic is practically globally approached by a group of specialists, the majority of whom are well known names in the romanian medical and academic world.
The Textbook appears as a necessity constituting an important source of information for the residents and the specialists in the Plastic Surgery field, but also for the specialists in the related surgical fields with interdisciplinary preoccupations.
