Fees and Founding

All articles published in Chirurgia journal are published in full open access.

In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of peer-review, DOI, plagiarism check, the work throughout the processing from submission to final decision, an article-processing charge (APC) of 400 euro applies to papers accepted after peer-review.

The active members of the Romanian Society of Surgery will not pay publication fee.

For each article accepted for publication, a special contribution of 200 euro will be paid for the maintenance and updating of the website.

For each article accepted for publication in online sections (e.g. eCollection, Ahead of Print) will be paid an article-processing charge (APC) of 200 euro.

If substantial language corrections are necessary or bibliografice, an additional fee may be applied.

The article processing charge, the special contribution for maintenance and updating of the website, are not optional and are not refundable if the article is "Rejected" due to plagiarism or self-plagiarism.

The Journal cannot grant any discounts or gratuities of the above mentioned fees for non-members of Romanian Society of Surgery.
